Soie d'Alger is the silk floss for embroidery par excellence. It is ideal for embroidering cross stitch patterns. Soie d'Alger is a spun and loosely twisted silk yarn. The individual thread is a little thicker than the usual cotton embroidery thread. With a single thread you can embroider on 34 ct, 36 ct, 38 ct and 40 ct linen. Soie d'Alger is available in 5 and 45 m skeins. The Soie d´Alger silk floss has 7 threads, so that for a 5 m skein there is a running length of 35 m. With 629 colors available, Soie d'Alger has the largest color range of embroidery thread. The elegant shimmer of the silk makes every cross stitch work something very special.
